Welcome to the Digimon World 2 section of the site! This game was released on Playstation back in May of 2001. It's playstyle is very similar to Dragon Quest Monsters. You can get wild digimon and train them to make them stronger. When you want to create a new digimon, you combine two digimon to get a new one that learns all the moves of its predecessors (losing both parents). However, each digimon can only know a total of 12 moves.
The one big grievance with the game is that it is obsessively slow. There is probably only about 15 hours worth of story, but they make it take forever (can easily go over 80 hours) for you to walk anywhere or to level up your digimon. Digimon have certain max levels. Let's say this digimon has a maximum of level 15. You then must combine it with another digimon to increase the maximum level. However, for every 5 levels this second digimon is, the max level is increased by 1. Thus, if you combined a level 15 digimon with a level 14 digimon, the new digimon would only get to level 17. It will also start at level 1, so you have to level it up all over again. You can have up to three digimon in your party, so it can get old really fast. Luckily, there are Playstation emulators out there that let you speed up the game to over 8 times as fast! This makes the game become much more enjoyable.
This site displays all the data in regard to Digimon, Skill, Domain (location), DNA Digievolutions, and more.
