Instructions:

Enter the actual stats and EPs of your Pokemon for a specific level. Make sure that you start with the top row and fill your way down. If you are starting at level 5, please type "5" into the Default Row box and hit refresh. You MUST keep track of your EPs on your own. Otherwise, no IV Calculator will work correctly. If you want to narrow down the IV ranges further, simply provide another row of stats for the Pokemon. Enter the ACTUAL stats for that level, not the gain! If you need more rows, simply click the Add Row button with how many rows you want added!

If you want, you can just enter in one row worth of stats. If you do, it'll only be as accurate as any other IV Calculator out there. However, I don't prevent you from doing that. Plus, if the range still seems too large, you can add in a couple more lines, making it quite a bit more accurate.

If you know your Hidden Power Type, you can select it from the dropdown. Providing this information will help narrow down the IV ranges a little bit. You can figure out your type by attacking a Kecleon. If it has no effect, then it is Ghost type.

Understanding the Output:

Possible IVs tells you what the IVs could potentially be, given the data you provided.
Next Helpful Level tells you the next level of stats you have to provide before any of the Possible IVs will go away for that specific stat.
EPs For Exact IV tells you how many EPs you need to obtain before getting to the next level in order to get the exact IV for that stat. Once you get the needed amount, level up and enter the stats & EPs into the calculator in order to find out the exact IV for that stat.

Note: The base stats of Pokemon didn't change from one generation to the next, so the same IV Calculator can be used for both 3rd and 4th generation games.

Note: If you are checking IVs for D/P, you can find exact IVs faster if you do what is called an IV Battle. An IV Battle is when you take a bunch of low level Pokemon, like 5 that just hatched, and you battle online with a friend. They will automatically go to level 100. Then you can enter their stats into pretty much any IV Calculator and get their IVs. However, if you are checking just one or two, it'll probably be faster just to use my calculator with rare candies.
